Susan Stoler
BIOGRAPHY:
Susan Stoler’s artwork is a colorful reflection of everyday life. She starts with familiar items like lanterns, guitars, mannequins and mirrors. She then adorns them with a wide array of colorful pieces, from flowers and watch components to light bulbs, screws and nails. She often uses a combination of paints and glitter to achieve an end result that is fun and often whimsical. Susan studied Fine Arts at the University of Texas. She puts her unique twist on her favorite genres, steampunk and 3-D.
ARTIST STATEMENT:
I love the creative challenge of transforming ordinary home décor into what I like to call “altered treasures”. I always strive to achieve the WOW factor with every piece I design. I enjoy searching for the objects that will become the focus of my work.
