Glenda's Designs
BIOGRAPHY:
Glenda Hinson is a creator of beautiful handcrafted jewelry. Her interest in jewelry started at the early age of 6 when she would often take her older sister's jewelry apart. She has enjoyed many hobbies which included sewing, quilting, and ceramics. In 2008 she discovered silver, bronze, and copper metal clay and the world for her was never the same. She carries a drawing pad with her everywhere because inspiration can come in many forms. She has four certifications with PMC and has her senior level certification with Art Clay World. She has a passion for working with bronze clay, where she makes one-of-a-kind works of wearable art. The vast capabilities in jewelry design with metal clay are limited only by her imagination.
Her favorite moment in the studio is when she is struggling to bring a design to life and it refuses to be born the way she had originally planned it. She tweaks and makes changes until she sees her way forward and suddenly it becomes a more complete and better realization of her vision...and that's why handcrafted one-of-a-kind jewelry is the best choice. Life is too short to wear boring jewelry.
ARTIST STATEMENT:
Bottled up creative energy is a great source of stress in life. When it is not released into the outer world, it builds up within, generating anxiety and restlessness. We cannot know inner peace until we develop our own channels for creative release.
It's not the obstacles in our life that define us, it's the grace we display when overcoming them.
