Chris Henderson
BIOGRAPHY:
Chris Henderson was born in Dallas, Texas, & raised on Rock-N-Roll. Since his mid-teens Art and Music have always been a part of his life. Music inspires a majority of his art.
Chris keeps images and ideas simple, something that a young child to an adult can appreciate. He incorporates bright colors, and bold lines, that have the ability to pull people closer to the work for a better look and a smile.
ARTIST STATEMENT:
People are exposed to pop art all the time. I put this type of art on canvas and allow them to focus on the image. Usually this image is familiar and mainstream. It is done in a way that makes it unique. Sometimes through text, sometimes through sheet music, and sometimes just piecing together different ideas I have. They can reminisce about a memory or experience that they’ve had.
My art changes on a regular basis, this is why you will not see many “Collections” in my style. I am always trying new ideas and combinations of ideas. Usually they are simple images, but they generate a lot of emotion.
My completed works of art rarely stay the same as the original concept that I had envisioned. My work is a combination and interpretation of things seen in everyday life. I want people to experience what they see on a regular basis, just in a unique and fun way. I believe Art does not have to be complicated.
