June 2nd we got to celebrate the publishing of Bela Kaul's book "Beyond Boundaries" and we couldn't be more proud of our regular Bela Kaul! She writes and paints, what a double threat!
Book Summary: Journey with two women, Taara and Janki, who are separated by time and place, but bound by blood. Travel with them as they traverse their respective landscapes littered with perils in search for a sense of belonging and prevail beyond all bounds.
Author Bio: I have called three countries my home, each of which I carry close to my heart. India, the land of my birth and childhood helps keep me rooted. Memories of growing up with my grandmother’s stories, or mischief with cousins remind me of the network of strength I carry with me always. My twelve years in the British colony of Hong Kong helped me branch out in the land where east meets west. During my teen years there I immersed into a variety of cultures, languages and lifestyles. United States of America has been home for the past 3 decades, the country where I earned a degree, acquired a loving husband, developed my career in the financial field, raised my daughter, now out of the nest, and discovered my love for writing. Today I call myself the trunk of a tree with deeply grounded roots from India, flourishing branches spread out globally that started in Hong Kong and now, America, which helps me hold both ends sturdily together.
